For All Skill Levels - No Partner Needed
Whether you are a complete beginner or an accomplished dancer in West Coast Swing, private lessons give you customized instruction that best improves your dancing. The personal attention allows for additional focus you don't get in a group setting.
You also get exercises that can be used on an on-going basis with or without a partner. The private lesson progresses at a pace most comfortable for you.
Whether you're just learning West Coast Swing for the very first time or you're a serious competitor, private lessons are the best way to quickly improve your dance skills and reach your goals in the fastest time.
No partner is required for the private lesson. Price remains the same whether for a single student or a couple.
PRICE: $85/hour. Packages available. Lessons are booked in 1 hour increments. Payment by cash or email transfer.
LOCATION: My studio space in Etobicoke. Some exceptions can be discussed case by case. Changes in location within Toronto and the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) may adjust the price.

Q. Do I need any previous dance experience?
Absolutely not! You can learn West Coast Swing in three easy steps, even if you have never danced before and have two left feet.
Q. What type of shoes should I wear?
If you already have dance shoes, then bring those. If you don't have dance shoes, then something with a leather or suede sole is best. If not, then just wear your most comfortable pair of shoes.
Q. What type of clothes should I wear to my lesson?
Wear whatever you will feel most comfortable in. West Coast Swing is a very casual dance so wear your favorite jeans and t-shirt if you want.

Q. Do I need to come with a partner?
If you have someone you would like to learn with, that is fantastic. But you do NOT need a partner to take private lessons.
Q. Who is the instructor?
Your instructor is Shelley Saxena. Shelley has been dancing, studying and competing in West Coast Swing for 21 years. With an extensive background in Jazz, Ballet and Modern dance, Shelley now specializes in West Coast Swing.
